water: VERY important NOT to overwater! The leaves will gorge and burst if given too much water. Do not fear when allowing the soil to dry out, you can even wait for the plant to get ever so slighly "pruney" looking before offering more water.

During the winter, it's important to almost halt watering, as the new growth inside the core of the plant develops by drawing moisture away from the older parts of the plants.
