Butterfly Milkweed - Asclepias tuberosa

Support the lifecycle of monarch butterflies with this lovely perennial. Butterfly milkweed spreads itself out into a bush about 2 feet tall and wide. The foliage of milkweed provides an absolutely vital food source for growing monarch caterpillars and the flowers give out a feast for bees and butterflies alike.

The good news doesn't end there, though. Milkweed requires almost no care once established. Just a bit of direct sunshine and decently well-draining soil.
